The Nerd Handbook

Some of this is spot on for me, other parts aren’t. But the majority is. I guess that means that I’m a nerd.

I love scouring Wikipedia to learn any random fact (yesterday I was reading the articles on the Oldsmobile, and then Guadalcanal - both the battle and the island.) I also have a relevancy engine in my head, and much to the shagrin of many people around me, they often do not trip the relevancy flag.

I’m also not as painfully shy and awkward as the article presents the average nerd to be, but I am fiercely selective about who I would want to become friends with, often making that decision within the first few minutes of talking to them.
